BSL was created in this college, with the following objectives:
- To Prepare the instructional materials for teaching and learning Biology
- To Prepare the teaching aids for teaching and learning Biology
- To undertake the projects reflecting the trends in Biological Science education
- To practice various methods of teaching such as co-operative learning, team teaching etc.,
- To collect resource materials for teaching and learning Biology.
For fulfilling these objectives, the following activities are undertaken by the teachers and students:
- Discussing the various aspects of the Present curriculum among the student-teachers and the teacher educator of this department is the moderator.
- Conducting student seminar, debates, symposium on the various topics of the school syllabus.
- Practicing micro teaching skills.
- Conducting demonstration classed for the student teachers.
- Preparing teaching aids and other learning materials.
- Practice in using audio visual materials
- Utilizing leisure time for self learning.
- Organising guest lectures for the student teachers
Computer Laboratory was created in this college, with the following objectives:
- To Prepare the instructional materials for teaching and learning Computer
- To Prepare the teaching aids for teaching and learning Computer
- To undertake the projects reflecting the trends in Commerce education
- To practice various methods of teaching such as co-operative learning, team teaching etc.,
- To collect resource materials for teaching and learning Computer.
For fulfilling these objectives, the following activities are undertaken by the teachers and students:
- Conducting student seminar, debates, symposium on the various topics of the school syllabus.
- Practicing micro teaching skills.
- Conducting demonstration classed for the student teachers.
- Preparing teaching aids and other learning materials.
- Practice in using audio visual materials
- Utilizing leisure time for self learning.
- Organising guest lectures for the student teachers.
The department has organised various Field works / Industry visits and they are as follows:
- Visit to different counselling centers in Coimbatore
- Visit to different schools to understand the problems of adolescents and pro-adolescents.
The department also organised 15 lectures on different topics of Educational Psychology and Five Association meetings are held every year.
Apart from these, the department also organises several oratecal competisions for the students on the below listed topics:
- Uplifting of the rural Masses
- Religious psychology
- Developmental aspects of women Psycho Quiz competitions: Twice in a year for both UG & PG students
